Bordergrass Alliance

It’s time to flip the script and celebrate the 49th parallel with this powerhouse bluegrass ensemble.  Bordergrass Alliance features some of the finest bluegrass musicians in the Pacific Northwest, drawing talent from both sides of the Canada-USA border. United by a shared love for traditional bluegrass, this group delivers the hard-driving instrumentals and soaring harmonies that bring classic bluegrass standards to life. 

Bordergrass Alliance blends decades of experience on festival stages, concert halls, and jam circles across North America. Guitar-driving Mark Kilianski, who is also one half of the celebrated duo Golden Shoals, is thrilled to work in Edmonton on his regular travel schedule between Nashville, New Jersey, and Vancouver. Then you add in the much-sought-after Kian Dye, from the Portland and Bellingham areas, with his award-winning mandolin and fiddle sensibility.  And sealing the Alliance are two members of the much-loved Kelowna band Under the Rocks – namely Chris Baxter lighting up the 5-string banjo and Nils Loewan keeping it creative on his bow-ready bass.
