We know her well and love her dearly. She has grown up and developed her craft as a member of the Northern Bluegrass Circle. As a performer she has often appeared as a duo along with her brother, Matt, and has performed with bands such as “Kayla Hotte and her Rodeo Pals” and more recently with the “Rocky Mountain Ramblers” at RiverCity 2026. As an instructor, her sessions at NimbleFingers in Sorrento are always sold out and we are so very pleased to have her present a shortened version to our club.
In this beginner/intermediate workshop you will learn the basics of Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar including the importance of alternating bass strings in the boom-chuck (versus the folk style strum); basic walk ups and walk downs to bridge your rhythm phrases; and a simple G run or two to finish off a phrase.
