Jim Malmberg is a long-time member of NBMCS. Growing up in the foothills of southern Alberta, he was exposed to a wide variety of musical genres from classical music to pop radio. Largely self-taught, Jim has been exploring folk, blues, jazz, western swing, classic country, jug band, and of course bluegrass.
He plays guitar, mandolin, trumpet, harmonica, ukulele, bass, and a little bit of fiddle and has taught private students and groups at music camps and festivals throughout Western Canada. Jim’s looking forward to an inspiring workshop at the club with the goal of making us better bluegrass musicians!
